Janata Bank PLC has recently appointed Md Ashraful Alam as its Deputy Managing Director (DMD), says a press release.
Before his joining, he was General Manager (GM) of the bank's head office.
Recently, he was promoted to DMD through a circular of the Financial Institutions Division on April 10 and posted to Janata Bank.
He passed SSC and HSC from Rajshahi Cadet College. Later, he obtained a post-graduation degree in Finance and Banking at the Dhaka University.
Mr Alam started his banking career as a Senior Officer of Janata Bank in 1993. He had served different positions in the bank's local branch, Motijheel Corporate Branch and Foreign Exchange Corporate Branch.
He was promoted to GM of the bank and he joined the bank in Chattogram division in 2022.
Md Ashraful Alam was born in Joypurhat in 1967.
