Mohammad Modasser Hasan, a former CEO of Sonali Bank PLC, India Operation, has been appointed as the MD & CEO of Aviva Finance Limited, a Shariah-based non-banking financial institute, says a statement.
Prior to assuming this new role, he had been serving at Sonali Bank local office as General Manager & Branch Head.
Mr Hasan started off his banking career at Sonali Bank in 1986.
During his 35 years of career, he had served in different branches of Sonali Bank.
Mr Hasan had also worked for the Sonali Bank Board Division, Head office Audit Division as the chief auditor, Microcredit division, PRO and MIS division.
Mr. Hasan obtained his B.A. (Hons.) and M.A. degrees from the University of Dhaka. He is a diplomaed associate from the Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh.
He also holds a postgraduate diploma in HRM from the Bangladesh Institute of Management. Later, he obtained an MBA degree from a reputed private university of Bangladesh.
Upon retirement from his active bank service, he was appointed as an independent director for BBS Cables Company. He was also the founding CEO of PMJ Asset Management Company.
