The sale of motorbikes is increasing cumulatively in the online market place as motorbike dealers across the country added a new dimension in marketing.
Country's leading online market place, Bikroy.com, says that the number of second hand motorbike advertisements in January has increased with 13 percent since November. In January, more than 6 500 advertisements were uploaded on their site alone.
According to statistics from Bikroy.com, Bajaj Pulsar is the most popular second hand motorbike sold online. In January, a total of 870 advertisements of Bajaj Pulsar have been uploaded on Bikroy.com at an average price of Tk 155,000.
The price depends on the motorbikes model year, condition and mileage. For example, there is a Bajaj Puslar 2012 model year available for Tk. 175,000. There is also a 2008 year model available in the online site for Tk. 105,000.
A significant number of motorbike dealers are regularly posting advertisements on online market places and selling their cars without any peril.
Mr. Kamal from Universe Motors says that motorbike selling is up again after the end of political turmoil.
Mr. Akbar from Halim Motors says that the prices of motorbikes are showing upward trend. The demand of motorbikes is growing more than the supply in Bangladesh and that is the main reason for price increase of the two-wheeler auto vehicle.
