BANGLADESH KRISHI BANK OPENS SAHARBATI BAZAR SUB-BRANCH

Bangladesh Krishi Bank opened Saharbati Bazar Sub-Branch under Gangni Branch in Meherpur on Monday with a view to strengthening rural economy. Deputy Managing Director of the bank Mohd. Khaleduzzaman formally inaugurated the sub-branch as the chief guest. Anwar Hossain, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Gangni, and General Manager of the Kushtia Division of Bangladesh Krishi Bank Utpal Kabiraj were present as special guests. The ceremony was presided over by Prahlad Kumar Hor, Regional Manager of Bangladesh Krishi Bank, Meherpur Region. On the very first day of inauguration, the sub-branch collected deposits amounting to Tk 7.0 million and disbursed agricultural loans worth Tk 2.2 million. Following the inauguration ceremony, a colourful rally was organised to mark the occasion.
