A Bangladeshi child prodigy has recently got one of its fiction stories published by a British publishing house, encouraging the local publishers to capitalise on such talents of the country's new generation and develop the knowledge industry.
The newly published horror story book "Castle of Doom" has already drawn attention of all concerned worldwide, reliable sources said.
After the publication, the girl prodigy , who is yet to cross the age of 10, now looks to write the series of "Castle of Doom" up to X, and publish those by the same publisher in London.
It's not the end here!
By this time, the girl, Sarina Hossain, has already written more than 10 works of fiction and composed over 400 rhymes.
News of her outstanding and resounding talent came to light after her latest wonderful achievement of publishing the fiction story by the British publisher.
Olympia Publishers published the "Castle of Doom" after a thorough scrutiny that includes seeing scanned copy and later main hand written manuscript of the fiction, and talking to the little girl over phone, her father said.
Sarina Hossain is now a student of Grade IV of an English medium school in the Gulshan area of Dhaka.
She wrote the fiction "Castle of Doom" at the age of eight. It took only around two months for her to finish writing of the fiction, she said.
As the introduction of the fiction story, Sarina composed the following fantastic rhyme:
"Faraway there's a castle
That's high,
Where people and animals
Come and die.
A place where people
Wear haunted wigs
A place where people
Eat poison twigs.
You know it's whom?
It's the coming day of the Castle of Doom!
So you need to beware,
Because, the monsters are here!"
While sharing her writing habit at her parents' residence in Gulshan, Sarina told the FE, "Once, an idea is generated, I can finish writing a rhyme by hmm… five-seven minutes".
When the child cannot move forward with an idea, she stops writing; she again starts whenever the developed idea comes to her mind.
About publication of "Castle of Doom", her father Md Shaiful Hossain, a senior banker and lyrist, said that he sent Sarina's writing to the Egmont Publishers and the Olympia Publishers over email at a time.
Both the publishers responded; however, Olympia Publishers responded first and was more interested in this connection.
"Firstly, we sent the scanned copy to the publisher and later, as per their demand, sent original handwritten manuscript," he continued.
At one stage, they talked to Sarina Hossain over phone. Then, they sent a deed of agreement for publication of the book, he said.
"After a series of correspondences, we came to a conclusion and signed the final agreement in 2013," he said, adding that at last, they received copies of the book through courier service just before the day of publication.
Official publication date of "Castle of Doom" is February 27, 2014. Price of the 41-page book has been set at 4.99 British pounds.
Relevant information about the book is available at the publisher's website: olympiapublishers.com. The book is also available at different renowned online book stores of the world including Amazon.com, ebay, Fishpond etc.
Mr Shaiful Hossain said, "Sarina is now the junior most author in the world."
From his experience, he further said, "Sarina is always in the habit of living in her imagination; she is also very fond of composing rhymes; she is very spontaneous and fluent in writing, even the noisy environment can't stop her thinking and writing."
Every day, Sarina keeps on writing, he said, adding that she can also draw very quickly.
Outstanding talent of Sarina first came to the notice of her parents at only five-year of her age, when she wrote and drew different things implicitly.
Sarina Hossain, by only six years old, finished her first writing named "The Girl Who Wanted to Go to CIS School", which came to the observation of her parents and teachers of her school--Canadian International School. They got amazed and started encouraging her at every step.
At the inspiration of her family members, she then wrote "The Girl Who Wanted to Go to Canada", "The Ghost in the Haunted Castle,"  "Not A Step Out," "The Adventure of Mariena", "Strangers," and "The Haunted House," "Parisa and the Two Little Fairies in the Kingdom of Fairy Land" etc.
Sarina has already written "Castle of Doom II- Your Brain is My Birth Stone". His father hoped that this book will be published by this year from the same publishing house.
She is now simultaneously writing three fictions namely "The Castle of Doom III-the Spirit of Mummification", "Ghost freak Adventure", and "Enemy." She has planned to write the series of "Castle of Doom" up to X.
When asked about her ambition, Sarina promptly replied with a smile that she wanted to be "one of the famous authors" in the world.
She also dreams to see a movie to be made one day in Hollywood based on one of her horror stories, her father said.
Let's pray for her so that she can continue weaving the nets of her words one after another…
