Banglalink settles Priyojon Life Insurance claim

Banglalink has settled the insurance claim within 72 hours following the untimely and unfortunately demise of one of its Priyojon Insurance subscribers, Syed Selim Hasan in Laxmipur, reports UNB.
Selim Hasan being the head of the family had chosen one of his sons, Syed Jabed Hasan, as his nominee for the Priyojon Insurance.
Banglalink launched Priyojon Life Insurance in June this year, raising the insurance coverage up to Tk 1.0 million. Priyojon Life Insurance is a free group life insurance product offered for Banglalink Priyojon subscribers in partnership with a third party named 'Aparajito Enablers Limited' and underwritten by two of the country's leading life insurance companies Delta Life Insurance and Pragati Life Insurance.
All Banglalink 'Priyojon' customers can benefit from the insurance by registering for free from through USSD or SMS. Customers can get maximum coverage of Tk 1.0 million in a month based on their Priyojon Prize Points.
Selim Hasan was a Priyojon subscriber who opted for Tk 50,000 life insurance against his prize point. After his death, his son submitted the claim on August 25, 2014. Having been informed of Selim's death, Banglalink and Aparajito guided his family through the process of making a claim.
Having submitted the relevant documents, Delta Life Insurance settled the claim and provided the cheque of Tk 50,000 to the family within 72 hours of the claim being submitted which is one of the fastest and finest insurance services in the country.
Jabed received the cheque from Md Forhad Hossain, Banglalink's Regional Commercial Head, Chittagong. The cheque was handed over at Banglalink distribution house in Laxmipur.
Solaiman Alam, Marketing Director of Banglalink, said, "The death of the head of the family is always a difficult time for other family members. We ensured the insurance payouts are paid within quickest possible time as an effort to support the family during this tough time."
