Bank Asia arranged an Inter-University Debate Competition-2019 to mark its 20th anniversary. Dhaka University emerged as the champion while Jagannath University became the runner-up of the competition.
The award giving ceremony was held on Wednesday, the last day of the two-day debate competition, with Prof Dr Mohammad Samad, Pro-Vice Chancellor, University of Dhaka, as the chief guest.
Md Arfan Ali, President & Managing Director of Bank Asia, Md Zia Arfin, Head of International Division of Bank Asia, Prof Dr Mahbuba Nasrin, Chief Moderator of Dhaka University Debating Society, Rubayet Rakib, Demonstrator, National Debate Competition, Bangladesh Television, and Mohammad Rafiqul Islam Sikder, Secretary, Bank Asia Debating Club, were present at the event.
The debate was arranged to spread the message of financial literacy, financial inclusion, financial technology, economic development, tomorrow's banking services among university level students and to enhance their knowledge regarding these issues.
