A delegation from the Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed Companies (BAPLC), led by its President M. Anis Ud Dowla met with Professor Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam, Chairman, BSEC recently. Dr. Shaikh Shamsuddin Ahmed, Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Md. Abdul Halim, Commissioners of BSEC, Md. Saifur Rahman, Executive Director, BSEC, Syed Nasim Manzur, Vice President and other members of BAPLC were also present. A delegation from the Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed companies (BAPLC), led by its President M. Anis Ud Dowla paid a courtesy call on the Chairman of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Prof. Shibli Rubayat-Ul- Islam and it's Commissioners at the Securities Exchange Bhaban at Agargaon in the capital recently.
Commissioners of BSEC Dr. Shaikh Shamsuddin Ahmed, Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman and Md. Abdul Halim, Executive Director Md. Saifur Rahman were also present at the meeting.
The new Executive Committee of BAPLC raised specific issues that need to be addressed to improve overall governance levels amongst listed companies and at the same time attract improve the ease of doing business for listed companies .
"The meeting was extremely productive and cordial with some important directions for all stakeholders to facilitate and drive the development of the capital market in Bangladesh," said a statement.
Syed Nasim Manzur, Vice President, BAPLC, Executive Committee Members Anis A. Khan, Rokeya Quader, Tabith Awal, Imam Shaheen, Md. Kyser Hamid, Oli Kamal, Tajwar Muhammed Awal, Adib Hossain Babul and Secretary General Md. Amzad Hossain were also present at the meeting.
