The 26th annual general meeting of the Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed Companies (BAPLC) was held at Renaissance Hotel, Gulshan, Dhaka recently. Newly elected President Riad Mahmud, Vice President Engr. Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed and other members of the executive committee and representatives of listed companies were present. The 26th annual general meeting (AGM) of the Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed Companies (BAPLC) -- the apex body of the companies listed on the Stock Exchanges -- was held recently at Renaissance Hotel, Gulshan, in the capital.
Rupali Haque Chowdhury, president of the association, presided over the meeting, according to a press release.
The AGM was commenced with the recitation from the holy Quran. There was a question and answer session at the AGM. Participating members asked questions which were answered by the executive committee.
Executive Committee members Abdullah Al Mahmud, managing director, Hamid Fabrics; Syed Farhad Ahmed, managing director & CEO, Aamra Networks; Md. Kyser Hamid, managing director & CEO, Bangladesh Finance PLC; Adib Hossain Babul, director, National Feed Mill; Zeyad Rahman, director, Delta Life Ins. Co.; Md. Sharif Hasan, company secretary, Unique Hotel & Resorts; members of the newly elected executive committee, representatives of listed companies, and Md. Amzad Hossain, secretary general, were also present at the AGM.
