Bangladesh Industrial Technical Assistance Centre (BITAC) held a workshop titled 'Enhancing the capacity of irrigation pumps using impellers made with 3D printing technology' at its Bogura centre on Saturday. The workshop is aimed at introducing this technology to local pump manufacturers. Traders and entrepreneurs attended the workshop. BITAC Director General Parimal Singha was present as the chief guest. President of Foundry Owners Association of Bangladesh Md Abdul Malek Akond and General Secretary of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Association, Bangladesh, Md Kamal Mia were present as special guests while BITAC Director Md Muhasin presided over the event. Assistant Engineer Arif Ahmed presented the keynote paper.
