Bishwo Shahitto Kendro in association with bKash has expanded its book reading programme by distributing books to the students in Kaptai, Rangamati.

Bishwo Shahitto Kendro in association with bKash has expanded its book reading programme by distributing books to the students of 3 schools in Kaptai, Rangamati. The schools are Boroichori Karnaphuli Nurul Huda Kaderi High School, Kaptai Al-amin Nuria Dakhil Madrasah and Karnaphuli Paper Mills High School.
As part of the nationwide book reading initiative, over 300,000 books have been distributed to various educational institutions, benefiting more than 3 million readers. This year, approximately 40,000 additional books have been added to this programme, says a statement.
Md. Mohi Uddin, Upazila Executive Officer, Kaptai, Rangamati, handed over the books to the students at a programme held at Kaptai Upazila Parishad auditorium recently.
Humayun Kabir, EVP and Head of Regulatory and Corporate Affairs of bKash and Syed Mahmud Hasan, Upazila Secondary Education Officer, attended the programme as special guests. The programme was presided over by Shamim Al Mamun, Director of Bishwo Shahitto Kendro.
With the aim to inculcate book reading habits among the students, Bishwo Shahitto Kendro has been conducting this Nationwide Enrichment programme.
This initiative will help the students shape their minds as enlightened human beings. To further expand and implement this objective, country's largest MFS provider bKash has been associated with this programme over the past decade.
