Block mkt accounts for about 8.0pc of weekly turnover

The block board of the country's premier bourse featured an aggregate amount of turnover worth above Tk 1.36 billion in last week.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) featured a total turnover of above Tk 18.67 billion in five sessions of last week. The block board captured 7.28 per cent of the weekly turnover.

The shares and units of 11 listed securities were traded in the block market of the premier bourse.

According to DSE information, the Square Pharmaceuticals featured the highest turnover value of Tk 730 million. More than 2.3 million of Square Pharmaceuticals changed hands in the block board in last week.

Grameenphone featured the second highest turnover value of above Tk 470 million in the block board.

British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company featured a turnover worth above Tk 36 million.
