BRAC Bank, with support from the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance and Bangladesh Bank, has completed a month-long intensive training programme for entrepreneurs in the cottage, micro, small and medium enterprises (CMSMEs) sector. The Finance Division has initiated the capacity-building initiative under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP) with technical and implementation support from Bangladesh Bank. The closing ceremony of the 'Entrepreneurship Development Programme' was held at the bank's Head Office in Dhaka recently. Senior officials of Bangladesh Bank and BRAC Bank formally handed over the certificates to the 23 entrepreneurs. Husne Ara Shikha, Executive Director, Bangladesh Bank, was present as the chief guest. Md. Nazrul Islam, Programme Director, and Additional Director, SME and Special Programmes Department, BB-SICIP, attended the ceremony as the special guest. Syed Abdul Momen, Additional Managing Director and Head of SME Banking, BRAC Bank, and senior officials of the bank were also present.
