BRAC Bank Limited, one of the most prominent banks of the country, has signed an agreement with Software Shop Limited operating under the brand name SSL Wireless to implement 3D Secure Solution for its customers.
SSL Wireless is going to implement the solution as the Local Partner of CA (Singapore) Technologies Private Limited, said a press release.
Company Secretary and Head of Regulatory & Internal Control of BRAC Bank Rais Uddin Ahmed and General Manager of SSL Wireless Ashish Chakraborty inked the agreement recently on behalf of their respective organisations at the corporate office of Brac Bank.
Top executives of both sides were present on the occasion. Head of Retail Banking Firoz Ahmed Khan, Head of Cards and Payments Taufiq Hassan and other members of the bank's board were present on the occasion.
Director, Solution Sales Sujay Vasudevan and Manager, Solution Sales of CA Technologies Ramachandran K Nair attended the ceremony. Manager of SSL Wireless Saud Bin Jahan along with other high officials of SSL Wireless was also present.
3D Secure allows a cardholder to authenticate himself while making an online payment. A cardholder will have peace in mind that his card is not used without his authorisation. Merchants are protected from fraud and can provide the product and service without delay or extra costs. Banks see that the transaction has been authenticated and are more likely to approve the transaction to the convenience of the cardholder.
