BRAC BANK TO PLANT 25,000 TREES MARKING 25TH ANNIVERSARY
To mark its 25th anniversary, BRAC Bank will plant 25,000 trees nationwide, reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability through corporate social responsibility. BRAC Bank estimates the trees will sequester approximately 500 tonnes of CO2 over the next decade, helping to offset emissions and support healthier communities. The project covers 14 key locations and features 117 tree species. Selected species include 30 rare and endangered, 55 flowering, 20 timber, eight fruit-bearing, and eight medicinal varieties. The drive began with 2,000 saplings at Jahangirnagar University on Tuesday.
