Nurun Nahar Begum, chief technology officer (CTO) of BRAC Bank, has won the Best Woman CTO Award from a renowned magazine in the United Kingdom, according to a press release.
London-based Women's Tabloid Publications UK conferred the award in the Bangladesh banking sector for her contribution, especially in the field of technology.
The Women's Tabloid Awards 2025 programme aims at celebrating and honouring exceptional women in leadership and CXO roles, women entrepreneurs, and organisations that have demonstrated remarkable commitment to women-centric initiatives and made a significant impact in their respective fields.
Nurun Nahar, the first and only female CTO in Bangladesh banking sector, has over 25 years of experience in financial technology. She is recognised not only as a senior leader but also as a national role model for women in technology.
