Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC), in collaboration with Bangladesh Tourism Board, organised a seminar on 'Importance of Small and Cottage Industries in the Development of Tourism Industry of Bangladesh' in Dhaka on Wednesday. Sanjay Kumar Bhowmik, (Grade-1), chairman of BSCIC, was present as the chief guest at the seminar while Kamrun Nahar Siddiqa, additional secretary, Ministry of Industries, as a special guest. Abu Taher Muhammad Jaber, CEO of Bangladesh Tourism Board, presided over the programme. Dr Santos Kumar Deb, chairman, Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Dhaka University, was a discussant while tourism expert Jabed Ahmed delivered keynote speech.
