BSRM to extend support for livelihood dev in saline areas

BSRM Group Saturday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a non-government organization (NGO) to extend its financial support to improve the livelihood of people living in saline affected areas in Mongla upazilla of Bagerhat district, reports UNB.
BSRM Group Chairman Alihussain Akberali FCA, VSO Country Director Shahana Hayat, BSRM Head of Dhaka Corporate Office Kazi Anwar Ahmed, BSRM Head of CSR, PR & Communication Ruhi M. Ahmed, VSO Partnership & Grant Manager Md. Shafiqur Rahman were present at the contract signing ceremony at BSRM Corporate Office in Dhaka.
As per the (MoU), BSRM Group and Volunteer Service Oversees Bangladesh (VSOB), a leading NGO, will jointly launch a project in five villages of Mongla upazilato create job opportunities to the people living there.
More than 350 farmers in five saline affected villages in Mongla upazila will be brought under the project over the next 5 years.
