Bureau Veritas seminar on fire safety in RMG

Bureau Veritas Bangladesh Friday organised a seminar in relation to prevention of fire and building collapse in RMG industry, and with a commitment to help the industry acquire more assurance of safety for workers, owners and brands.

The seminar was participated by all the stake-holders, including members of the National Tripartite Committee, The Alliance, The Accord, BGMEA, BKMEA, RAJUK, Fire Department etc.

Bureau Veritas (BV) showcased the lessons and the achievements acquired through assessment of more than 500 factories for different brands till date.

The company (BV) gained enormous insight into the various difficulties faced by the industry in improving the building and fire safety situations in the industry and understanding how to help the industries resolve those.

The seminar was attended by Guido  Dori, the Vice president of Bureau Veritas, South Asia Region and Randal H Rankin, Vice President of Bureau Veritas - USA among others.

The two key presentations were done by Golarn Kibria - Country Manager of Bureau Veritas Bangladesh and Umesh Jadhav - Manager - Construction Business line - South Asia.

Michel Trinquier, the ambassador of France, was the chief guest and Atiqul Islam, President BGMEA were the special guests in the seminar.
