CHATTOGRAM, Dec 22: The leaders of Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) have said that business and investment-friendly environment is a must for attracting more local and foreign investments and meeting the challenges of future.

They made the remarks while addressing an annual general meeting (AGM) of the apex trade body of Chattogram at its office in the port city on Sunday.

At the AGM, the chamber leaders also observed that the business community have been working actively to ensure a business and investment-friendly environment in Chattogram as well as in Bangladesh.

Senior Vice President of CCCI Omar Hajjaj presided over the meeting, held at the Bangabandhu Conference Hall in the morning.

The meeting took a number of key decisions and approved the accounts of the last fiscal year.

CCCI directors A K M Akter Hossain, Md Ohid Seraj Chowdhury Swapon, Md Jahirul Alam, Sayed Sagir Ahamod, Hasnat Abu Obaida, Md Abdul Mannan Shohel, M Mohiuddin Chowdhury, Sayed Mohammed Tanvir, Shahajada Md Foujul Alef Khan and former directors, and leaders of different business organisations & associations were present, among others, and also spoke.
