Canadian HC visits Ctg Port

Canadian High Commissioner (HC) to Bangladesh Ajit Singh, along with his delegation, paid a courtesy call on Commodore Ahmed Amin Abdullah, Member (Harbour and Marine) of Chittagong Port Authority.

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 15: Canadian High Commissioner (HC) to Bangladesh Ajit Singh, along with his delegation, paid a courtesy visit to Chittagong Port, the prime seaport of the country.

He was accompanied by Debra Boyce, Senior Trade Commissioner, and Marcu Davies, Political Counsellor.

The delegation met with Commodore Ahmed Amin Abdullah, Member (Harbour and Marine) of Chittagong Port Authority. During the meeting, Mr. Singh expressed his satisfaction with the port's current operational capacity, efficiency, various development initiatives, and robust security measures.

He also assured the Port Authority of Canada's cooperation in several areas, including digitalisation, human resource development, and the export of Canadian goods to Bangladesh.

The delegation later toured different operational zones of the port and observed its activities.

They praised the overall progress and efficiency achieved by the Chittagong Port.
