CBC appoints new CEO

Najith Meewanage

Commercial Bank of Ceylon (CBC) group has announced the appointment of Mr. Najith Meewanage as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Bangladesh Operations.
A career banker who has served Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC throughout the entirety of his 29 years working career, Mr. Meewanage has held several key positions in the management, said a statement.
In 2015 he was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer - Bangladesh in which capacity he served and built the operations in Bangladesh.
Mr. Najith Meewanage is a MBA holder from University of Greenwich, London.
He is also a past president at Sri Lanka Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry - SLBCCI.
