Education & Training Director of Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) Dr Adrian Pulham said Bangladeshi young professionals in near future will contribute in the economic development of the country embarking on proper professional trainings.
"Bangladesh is progressing very fast among the developing countries. She will reach at the middle income level within a decade. But Bangladesh needs to train up her people in internationally recognized processes; we are here to contribute in the progresses of Bangladesh with our world recognized courses in alliance with LCBS Dhaka in Bangladesh," Adrian Pulham said in an interview with The FE recently.
He visited Dhaka to introduce the courses of CIPFA in collaboration with LCBS Dhaka in Bangladesh.
He said "due to the effect of globalization each and every country of our planet needs the same things. We have trained up thousands and have been doing so all around the globe to produce skilled manpower. At present both the public and privet sectors need to spend money calculatively and arrange it properly so that they may get maximum benefit with minimum efforts. We are on the mission of giving Bangladeshi people those educations and trainings."
CIPFA is the professional body for people in public finance.
A total of 14,000 members of CIPFA work throughout the public services, in national audit agencies, in major accountancy firms, and in other bodies where public money needs to be effectively and efficiently managed.
As the world's only professional accountancy body to specialize in public services, CIPFA's portfolio of qualifications are the foundation for a career in public finance. They include the benchmark professional qualification for public sector accountants as well as a postgraduate diploma for people already working in leadership positions.
Globally, CIPFA shows the way in public finance by standing up for sound public financial management and good governance. CIPFA works with donors, partner governments, accountancy bodies and the public sector around the world to advance public finance and support better public services. This includes the development of local professional qualifications in African countries like Lesotho and Nigeria and in Europe, as well as post conflict states and the Balkans.
Pulham also mentioned "It demonstrates how CIPFA's continued international growth is helping to ensure that the next generation of public sector managers across the world has the skills and expertise necessary to effectively lead and manage their country's public services".
