City Bank declares half yearly financial performance for 2019

City Bank recently presented its half yearly financial performance for the year 2019.

An event was organized in this regard at Hotel Intercontinental Dhaka where existing and potential investors, researchers, analysts involved in capital market, media were present.

The event was also broadcasted live across the globe through webcast and Bank's official Facebook page, said a statement.

Consolidated Earnings Per Share (EPS) of the bank was recorded at BDT 1.91 for the period from January to June 2019 against that of BDT 1.44 during the same period last year.

The bank also reported BDT 1,845.65 million Consolidated after Tax Profit during the first half of the year 2019, which was BDT 1,389.69 million during the same period of previous year.

At the event, Mashrur Arefin, Managing Director & CEO of City Bank spoke briefly about the Bank's current strategic positioning and macro outlook. Bank's DMD & CFO Md. Mahbubur Rahman also gave an overview of the recent financial performance of the Bank. The event ended with a lively Q&A session, where management of the bank responded to the participants concerns and queries.

The bank attracted much attention from investment communities across the globe in recent years through its noticeable presence & growth in the private commercial banking industry in Bangladesh. And this event is one of those continuous efforts by the bank to scale up the investor relation initiatives to cater the need of this community.
