Confidence Cem to set up another unit

CHITTAGONG, May 24: Confidence Cement Ltd is going to set up another factory of cement production by the beginning of 2016.

Managing Director of the company Rupam Kishore Barua said this at the Halkhata Ceremony (ceremonial opening of fresh Account Book) of the entity at a function on Saturday night in the city's Patenga Boat Club.

The Confidence Cement MD said the company started its journey with production of only 600 metric tons of cement per day but now the daily production of the company has reached to 2500 MT.

"By the beginning of 2016 we are planning to raise the production at 5000 MT of cement per day. This achievement has been possible as the buyers have taken us into confidence and due to cooperation of our clients, dealers, distributors and retailers," he said.

He said that the Confidence Cement does not compromise with the quality and weight in packages for which it has grabbed the market quickly.

Executive Director of Confidence Cement Md Zahir Uddin said the company has been able to reach out its products to root-level customers.

The function was attended by a huge number of retailers, dealers and distributors and senior officials of the company.
