Cos want to reduce costs, improve business agility

A number of local companies are gradually migrating to cloud after realising its potential benefits for a business.
The adoption of cloud and SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) has been remarkable in Bangladesh. Big Bangladeshi brands including Dulal Brothers, Zaber & Zubayer, a subsidiary of Noman Group and one of the leading home textile and ready-made garments (RMG) manufacturers of Bangladesh and BRAC Bank Limited have selected Oracle to support their journey towards cloud.
"Oracle Cloud is helping their businesses to innovate processes, modernise talent acquisition, reduce IT costs and improve business agility and fuel growth," said a source in Oracle Bangladesh.
Bangladeshi companies progressing towards cloud transformation are backed by technology adaptation and Oracle has been a partner in their endeavours for the last 19 years." Md Aminul Haque, Head of Applications, Oracle Corporation - Bangladesh, Nepal & Bhutan said in a statement.
"Numerous local businesses in pursuit of cloud technology understand the importance of Cloud, as industry analysts predict that over 50 per cent of all enterprise data will be managed in the cloud and 80 per cent of application operations will be resolved autonomously by 2020 , thanks to significant improvements of cloud technologies," he added.
He further added that Oracle is also working with Pacific Jeans, Ananta Group, Union Group and many other big brands to understand how to leverage industry opportunities and overcome challenges as the companies want to fully automate its processes, enabling them to spend less time entering and processing data, which is reducing back-office costs and ensuring optimizing employee experience.
"For Oracle's SaaS platform, Bangladesh is gradually becoming one of the leading cloud markets in the region.Oracle SaaS can give businesses in Bangladesh the opportunity to take a strategic leap and adopt the latest cloud faster. To help organizations move to the cloud, Oracle recently introduced 'Oracle Soar', the world's first automated enterprise cloud application upgrade products. It enables Oracle customers to reduce the time and cost of cloud migration by up to 30 percent."
He stressed that it is of utmost importance that Bangladeshi businesses embrace this innovation in order to keep up with the rapid pace of change.The momentum is here for cloud and early adopters of the technology are thriving and achieving great results.
