The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) held its 28th annual general meeting (AGM) at the CSE Building in Chattogram on Thursday. Asif Ibrahim, chairman of CSE, presided over the AGM, according to a statement.
At the AGM, CSE shareholders approved a 5 per cent dividend for the year 2022-23.
The board of directors of CSE, including Abdul Halim Chowdhury, Monjurul Ahsan Bulbul, Ishter Mahal, Mohammad Naquib Uddin Khan, Acting Managing Director Md Ghulam Faruque and Company Secretary Rajib Saha, attended the AGM.
CSE shareholders also voted to elect two shareholder directors. Advocate Mohsanuddin Ahmad Chowdhury, chairman of the election committee, oversaw the election.
Mohammed Akther Parvez Chowdhury, managing director of PHP Stocks & Securities Ltd and Major (Retd) Emdadul Islam, director of BK Capital Management Ltd, were elected as directors of the CSE board.
