Ctg Port celebrating Port Security Week 2026

Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) brought out a rally on the occasion of Port Security Week-2026 on Sunday.

CHATTOGRAM May 10: The Chittagong Port, the heartbeat of the country's economy, is celebrating "Port Security Week-2026" for the first time in the sea port's history with a target to improve its security system.

The week-long programme was inaugurated at a colourful programme at the Port Building premises on Sunday.

Acting Chairman and Member (Harbor and Marine) of the Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) Commodore Ahmed Amin Abdullah inaugurated the colourful program as the chief guest by releasing balloons.

Additional Secretary and Member (Administration and Planning) of CPA Md. Samimuzzaman was present as special guest at the function. After the inauguration, an awareness rally was brought out with the participation of port officials and employees to mark the day. The theme of this year's "Port Safety Week-2026" is: "Safe Port, Prosperous Country".
