The Dhaka Branch Council (DBC) of ICMAB has organised a programme for celebrating World Investor Week 2020 on "Role of Corporate Governance for Sustainable Stock Market in Bangladesh" of the members recently, said a statement.
Md. Eunusur Rahman, Chairman, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) & Former Senior Secretary, Bank & Financial Institutions Division, Ministry of Finance was present in the programme as the chief guest.
Dr. Syed Abdulla Al Mamun, FCMA, Deputy CEO, Credit Rating Information and Services Ltd. (CRISL), and Independent Director & Chairman of Audit and Finance Committee, Board of Directors, North West Power Generation Company Limited (NWPGCL) presented the keynote paper at the programme.
Md. Jasim Uddin Akond FCMA, President of ICMAB was present as the Guest of Honour of the session. All of the speakers have given emphasis on the improvement of Corporate Governance of listed companies and other market intermediates for developing sustainable stock market in Bangladesh.
A.K.M. Zakaria Hossain FCMA, Chairman of DBC presided over the program. Md. BakhtirarAlam FCMA, Vice-Chairman of DBC, Safiul Azam FCMA, Secretary of DBC, Muhammad Nazrul Islam FCMA, Mannan Bapari ACMA, CERM, Mr. Md. Shohag Al Mamun ACMA Council Member were also present on the programme.
