DBID reg guidelines approved

The government has approved the Digital Business Identification (DBID) registration guidelines 2022.

The Digital Commerce Cell (DCC) under the commerce ministry issued a circular on Wednesday in this regard.

The cell has already sent the circular to the Bangladesh Government Press for publishing gazette in this regard.

The government on February 06, 2022 introduced the DBID system to bring discipline in the crisis-ridden e-commerce sector of the country.

The e-commerce companies will not be able to run their businesses without obtaining the identification certificate from the concerned authority--Registrar of the Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC).

Various initiatives have been taken in the wake of a number of scandals by dubious e-commerce platforms such as Evaly, Eorange, Dhamaka Shopping, Siraj-ganj Shop, etc.
