DSE examining Shurwid Ind affairs

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) is examining the row created over holding and adjourning of the 4th Extra Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) and 10th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Shurwid Industries, officials said.
According to the premier bourse, the DSE had disseminated the news of adjournment of 4th EGM and 10th AGM of the Company as per letter of Mr. Anis Ahmed, Chairman of the Company.
Whereas another stakeholder/Director of the Company Engr. Mahmudul Hasan informed the DSE that 4th EGM and 10th AGM were held on 20.12.14 as per schedule, the DSE said.
"Now, the DSE is examining about the status of holding/adjournment of 4th EGM and 10th AGM of the Company," the DSE said.
Meanwhile, both the parties separately held press briefing to uphold their positions regarding completing and adjourning of the EGM and AGM of the listed company Shurwid Industries.
The securities regulator is also conducting an investigation over the allegation of holding the post of the company's managing director illegally.
