The 37th annual general meeting (AGM) of Eastland Insurance Co. Ltd was held on Tuesday virtually. The meeting was presided over by Mahbubur Rahman, chairman of the company, while Chief Executive Officer (CC) Shahid-E-Monjoor Morshaed was present. Shareholders approved 10 per cent cash dividends for 2023 for public shareholders only (excluding sponsors and board members) as recommended by the board of directors. Shareholders also approved appointment of a statutory auditor and a corporate governance compliance auditor for 2024 and also changing the name of the company to Eastland Insurance PLC.
