Eastland Insurance Company Limited held its half-yearly business conference to review the performance on Saturday at the DCCI Auditorium at Motijheel in Dhaka. Mahbubur Rahman, the company's chairman, inaugurated the event, according to a press release.
Distinguished board members Kamal Uddin Ahmed, Rizwan Rahman and Dr Md Abdul Karim attended the programme. Mohammed Salim, the chief executive officer, presented an analytical report on the company's half-yearly business performance.
Company Chairman Mahbubur Rahman expressed gratitude for the insurer achieving 84 per cent of its proportionate business target for the period ending June 2024, despite challenging economic conditions.
He commended the management team, executives and employees for their efforts in driving business growth during these difficult times. Mr Rahman expressed his confidence that the team would continue to work together to expand business in the future.
Shahid-E-Monzoor Morshed, additional managing director and head of the Khulna region, Md Shafiul Alam, additional managing director and head of the Motijheel branch, M Golam Hafez, additional managing director, and other senior executives also attended the programme.
