EBL introduces Diners Club International Cards

Eastern Bank Ltd. (EBL) Wednesday declared the launching of an exclusive range of cards in association with Diners Club International®, a business unit of Discover Financial Services.
EBL will gradually introduce a full range of Diners Club credit, corporate and other cards in the growing cards market of Bangladesh to facilitate a cashless society and promote financial inclusion.  
The EBL Diners Club Cards will be tailored to complement the complex and fast-paced lifestyle of EBL's elite clients and offer a wide range of premium travel and lifestyle benefits.. EBL Diners Club cardholders would have direct and hassle-free access to the Diners Club Airport Lounge Program, which offers access to more than 500 lounges worldwide. In addition, the cardholder would have complimentary access to the Sky Lounge facilities at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Additionally, cardholders would be privy to instant global recognition reflecting their status and preferences through a dedicated and elite concierge programme-EBL Diners Club Concierge.
EBL and Diners Club International also declared a flagship dining programme at the event. Titled as "EBL Diners Club Bangladesh Finest Restaurants", EBL and Diners Club will jointly declare the top restaurants in Bangladesh through a local jury and popular voting. All proper restaurants of Bangladesh will be able to participate in the programme.
Primera™ and Ultima™ are the two variants of EBL Diners Club Credit Cards available to customers in the market. . To apply for anEBL Diners Club Credit Card, an applicant must have an account relationship with Eastern Bank.
The cards were launched through a press meet at a city hotel today. EBL Acting Managing Director Mr. Hassan O. Rashid and Diners Club International Regional Managing Director for Asia Pacific Mr. John McCann jointly inaugurated the Diners Club products in Bangladesh.
