Eastern Bank Ltd. (EBL), a private sector bank of the country, has been awarded the prestigious Bank of the Year 2020 Bangladesh by The Banker. The Banker is an English-language monthly international financial affairs publication, said a statement.
The virtual award programme was held on Wednesday which was attended by Ali Reza Iftekhar, Managing Director and CEO and Ziaul Karim, Head of Communications and External Affairs of EBL.
Commenting on winning the Award, Ali Reza Iftekhar said, "It has been an honour and privilege to have received the coveted Bank of the Year 2020 award for Bangladesh by The Banker".
