Eight shareholders of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has submitted their nomination papers for the elections of four shareholder directors' posts of the bourse scheduled to be held on February 12.
The candidates who submitted their nomination papers are: Md. Shakil Rizvi of Shakil Rizvi Stock Limited, Khwaja Ghulam Rasul of Khwaja Equity Services Limited, Mohammad Shahjahan of Jahan Securities Limited, Sharif Anowar Hossain of Sahidullah Securities Limited, Kazi Firoz Rashid of Kazi Firoz Rashid Securities Limited, Ms. Lailun Nahar Ekram of ASENZ Securities Limited, Ahmad Rashid of Rashid Investment Services Limited and Mohammad Shamim Afzal of Desa Securities Limited.
As per the election schedule, candidates will be able to withdraw their nomination papers until January 30.
Md Shamsul Hoque, district and sessions judge (rtd) will conduct the election as chairman of three member election commission. The other two members are Mahbubur Rahman and M Kamal Unddin.
The annual general meeting is scheduled to be held on February 13 next.
