Evince Textiles to import brand new capital machinery

Evince Textiles is set to import brand new capital machinery from Xin Green Trading (Xiamen) Company of China to increase the production capacity of its factory.

The textile maker will import capital machinery with an estimated cost of US$72,500, the company said in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Sunday.

The machinery will be two stages with VSD screw air compressor with standard accessories and refrigerant air dryer with standard accessories.

Evince Textiles, a concern of Evince Group, raised a fund worth Tk 170 million from the capital market under the fixed price method in 2016 for boosting working capital, civil construction and modernising the machinery.

Each share of the company closed at Tk 8.20 on Sunday, far below from its offer price of Tk 10 each. Its shares traded between Tk 6.90 and Tk 11.40 in the last one year.

The company's consolidated earnings per share (EPS) negative Tk 0.30 for July-December 2020 as against profit of Tk 0.30 per share for July-December 2019.

The consolidated net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) was Tk 1.84 for July-December 2020 as against Tk 1.35 for July-December 2019.

The consolidated net asset value (NAV) per share was Tk 12.57 as on December 31, 2020 and Tk 13.52 as on June 30, 2020.

The company disbursed 5.0 per cent stock dividend for the year ended on June 30, 2020.

The company's paid-up capital is Tk 1.82 billion and authorised capital is Tk 3.50 billion, while the total number of securities is 182.95 million.

The sponsor-directors own 36.67 per cent stake in the company, while institutional investors own 22.17 per cent and the general public 41.14 per cent as of January 31, 2021, the DSE data shows.

Started commercial operation in 2003, Evince Textiles is engaged in the business of manufacturing and selling of 100 per cent deemed export oriented yarn dyed woven fabric.

Evince Textiles is the Evince Group's second listed company. In 2013, the Evince Group's Argon Denim was listed with bourses.
