EWU training for officials from banks, FIs

Forty-one officials from 23 state-owned banks and financial institutions (FIs) of Bangladesh participated in ten-day training courses in the city recently.
The East West University (EWU) Library organised the training courses on the EWU campus at Aftabnagar at the request of the Banks and Financial Institutions Division under the Ministry of Finance, according to a release of the EWU.
The closing ceremony of the training courses on "Establishment, Administration and Maintenance of Integrated Digital Library System" was held on April 6 last.
Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson, EWU Board of Trustees, and former governor of Bangladesh Bank was present as chief guest.
Dr. M Aslam Alam, Secretary of Banks and Financial Institutions Division under the Ministry of Finance, was present as special guest. Professor Ahmed Shafee, Vice Chancellor, East West University, chaired the programme.
