Four issues recommend div between 15pc and 550pc

Four listed companies, including two multinational ones, recommended dividend in last week between 15 per cent and 550 per cent for the year ended on December 31, 2017.
The companies are Dutch-Bangla Bank, United Finance, Linde Bangladesh and GlaxoSmithKline(GSK) Bangladesh.
The companies's earnings per share rose moderately for the year ended on December 31, 2017.
The board of directors of Dutch-Bangla Bank has recommended 30 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2017. The company disbursed same amount of cash dividend against the corresponding period of the previous year. The company has reported earnings per share (EPS) of Tk. 12.28, net asset value (NAV) per share of Tk. 97.41 and net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) of Tk. 58.66 for the year ended on December 31, 2017 as against Tk. 8.88, Tk. 88.36 and Tk. 24.57 respectively against the corresponding period of the previous year.
The board of directors of United Finance has recommended 10 per cent cash and 5.0 per cent stock dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2017. The company disbursed 10 per cent cash and 5.0 per cent stock dividend against the corresponding period of the previous year. The company has also reported EPS of Tk. 1.44, NAV per share of Tk. 16.95 and NOCFPS of Tk. 0.45 for the year ended on December 31, 2017 as against Tk. 1.76, Tk. 16.47 and Tk. (3.72) respectively for the same period of the previous year.
The Linde Bangladesh has recommended 140 per cent final cash dividend (i.e. total 340 per cent cash dividend for the year 2017 inclusive of 200 per cent interim cash dividend which has already been paid) for the year ended on December 31, 2017. The company disbursed 110 per cent cash (final) for same period of the previous year. The company has reported EPS of Tk. 62.60, NAV per share of Tk. 241.54 and NOCFPS of Tk. 76.13 for the year ended on December 31, 2017 as against Tk. 57.90, Tk. 209.28 and Tk. 73.18 respectively for the same period of the previous year.
The board of directors of GlaxoSmithKline(GSK) Bangladesh has recommended 550 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2017. The company has also reported EPS of Tk. 55.56, NAV per share of Tk. 218.35 and NOCFPS of Tk. 117.74 for the year ended on December 31, 2017 as against Tk. 53.51, Tk. 214.65 and Tk. 71.86 respectively for the same period of the previous year. The company disbursed 500 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2016.
