Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB) announced the promotion of four of its senior executive vice presidents (SEVPs) to the posts of deputy managing director. The promoted persons are Md Bakhteyer Hossain, Md Shamsul Islam, Usman Rashed Muyeen and Md Shafquat Hossain, according to a statement.
Their promotions are effective from September 01, 2023.
According to the press release, Md Bakhteyer Hossain is a seasoned banker with over twenty-eight years of banking experience with a specialisation in international trade. He is currently the chief operating officer of Mutual Trust Bank.
Md Shamsul Islam has also been serving the MTB as head of treasury. He joined MTB in 2013 and since then he has made significant contributions to the bank, especially in concentration to treasury activities and balance sheet management.
Usman Rashed Muyeen has also been serving the bank as the head of Credit Risk Management.
Md Shafquat Hossain has also been serving the bank as head of Retail Banking. He joined the bank as the head of SME & Retail Banking Division and senior executive vice president of Mutual Trust Bank.
