Doreen is all set to start full- fledged operation in the hospitality division with the opening of its new luxury hotel the "Four Points by Sheraton Dhaka Gulshan" in the city within this year aiming to be a market leader in the local hospitality industry, officials said.

The hotel will have a total of 149 deluxe rooms and suites between two separate properties located at Gulshan-2, the posh area in the city.

Currently, hotel operation has commenced with the Suites facility that include 30 premium suites, The Eatery (all day dining), The Panash (first open air rooftop garden terrace serving Pan-Asian fine cuisine) and also having facilities of meeting room, fitness center, rooftop pool, sauna and steam room.

Comparing the five-star hotel with the Sheraton brand, Mr. Malliya said, "Four Points by Sheraton is an off spring of Sheraton, which is an up-scale brand, while Four Points by Sheraton is a select service brand."

"Four Points by Sheraton is one of the fastest growing brands across the world."

"We are trying to target those clients, who like to have luxuries and services at low cost during their business trip," he said.

Elaborating the hotel services, he mentioned that  the  services are designed to give maximum personalization making them feel really valued without out being too intrusive. This allows the guests to be in total control of their space and reach their potential whilst they stay at Four Points.

Starting his career with Starwood in 2005 in India, Mr Malliya recently moved to  Bangladesh (first international assignment) in January this year to take up this enduring offer.

Starwood already has 1,200 hotels across the world  with  nine different  brands including St. Regis Luxury Collections, W, Westin, Sheraton, Le Meridian, Four Points, Aloft and the Elements.
