The Government of Bangladesh has recently appointed Intertek International Limited to provide optional PSI services to importers in Bangladesh.

Intertek has been awarded this appointment commencing from June 1st 2014, said a company statement.

Intertek has been providing Mandatory Pre-shipment Inspection Services to the National Board of Revenue since 2000. As a part of that mandate and on ongoing demands from the trade sector the Government of Bangladesh has re-introduced Pre-shipment Inspection Services for the Importers in Bangladesh making it optional for Customs assessment purposes.
