Hafiz Ahmed Mazumdar, a politician, businessman and social worker, has unanimously been re-elected the chairman of the Board of Directors of Delta Life Insurance Company Limited at its 260th Board meeting recently, says a statement.
Mr Mazumdar was the chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and Pubali Bank PLC. He was elected several times the Member of Parliament from Sylhet-5 constituency.
He is a Lifetime Member of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and Gulshan Club and also a member of Heart Foundation.
Born in 1935, Mr Mazumder has been involved in business over the last four decades. Being a devoted social worker and educationist, he set up 'Hafiz Mazumder Education Trust' in 1985, which provides financial assistance to build new schools and colleges and improve the quality of education in Sylhet.
