The 37th Annual General Meeting of IBN SINA Pharmaceutical Industry Ltd was held Thursday through digital platform. Kazi Harun or Rashid, Chairman of the Company, presided over the meeting.
Managing Director Prof. Dr. A. K. M Sadrul Islam including other directors, statutory auditors, compliance auditors and Company Secretary were also present.
The AGM approved 47 per cent cash dividend after evaluating the financial report for the year-2020-21 of the Company.
Prof. Dr. A.K.M. Sadrul Islam, Managing Director delivered his speech and also replied to shareholders' various questions.
Dr. Mohammad Ayub Miah and Prof. Colonel (Retd.) Dr. Zehad Khan were re-elected as Directors by rotation.
The Company had made a significant contribution in the year under review towards the national exchequers by paying Tk. 1.35 billion as income tax, VAT and other applicable taxes.
As per Bangladesh Labour Laws, Company has transferred 5.0 per cent of the profit i.e. Tk. 35.73 million to the Workers' Profit Participation Fund (WPPF).
