ICB AMCL Islamic MF converted to open-end scheme

Prof. Dr. Mojib Uddin Ahmed, chairman of the board of directors of Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) and Md Fayekuzzaman, Managing Director of ICB seen in the special meeting of the unit-holders of ICB AMCL Islamic Mutual Fund Tuesday.

ICB AMCL Islamic Mutual Fund has been converted to an open-end scheme from a close-end scheme.

The approval came at a special meeting of the unitholders of ICB AMCL Islamic Mutual Fund, managed by ICB Asset Management Company Limited (IAMCL), on expiration of its 10 years maturity on 28 December, 2014, held at a city hotel Tuesday, in accordance with the rules of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), said a statement.

Prof. Dr. Mojib Uddin Ahmed, chairman of the board of directors of Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB), was present as the chief guest at the meeting.

The meeting was chaired by Md Fayekuzzaman, Managing Director of ICB.

The members of the trustee committee and a good number of unitholders were present on the occasion. A concept paper was presented in this connection.

More than three-fourth majority of the unitholders cast their votes favouring the conversion.
