ICMAB course for ACC officials

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) has launched a five-day course for capacity-building of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) officials.
The course titled 'Financial Accounting Course (FAC)' was inaugurated by AKM Sohel, director general (ICT, Training and Prevention) of ACC, at the training centre of ICMAB Bhaban in the capital on Sunday.
President of ICMAB Md Mamunur Rashid presided over the inaugural session.
The training is aimed at enhancing the skills and abilities of the ACC officials in determining the field, type and amount of corruption related to audit and accounts of various financial and corporate institutions.
A total of 90 officers at deputy director, assistant director and deputy assistant director-level have joined the training.
Dr Mohammad Zakaria Masud, professor and director, Academic Affairs Division of ICMAB, Md Mamunur Rashid, associate professor, ICMAB, Abu Sayed Nooruddin Ahmed, associate professor, ICMAB, and Md Mokhlesur Rahman, chief financial officer (CFO) of Edison Footwear Ltd, are the facilitators of the training.
Treasurer of ICMAB and Chairman of Training Committee Md Ali Haider Chowdhury and Aleya Ferdous, additional director, were present at the inaugural event.
