ICMAB team meets Amu

A delegation of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) headed by its President Mohammed Salim, FCMA called on Amir Hossain Amu, MP, Minister for Industries at his office recently.
A delegation of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) headed by its President Mr. Mohammed Salim, FCMA called on Mr. Amir Hossain Amu, MP, Minister for Industries, Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh at his office recently.
The ICMAB delegation apprised Minister about the role of Cost and Management Accountants and their contribution towards establishment of transparency, accountability and corporate governance in the business and industrial sector.
They also briefed about various steps taken by the Cost and Management Accountants and also explained ongoing activities. In the meeting, the details of decision of the Government of implementing Cost Audit for Bangladesh Stock Exchange enlisted Companies and Industries and the positive impacts out of it were highlighted with due importance.
The Industries Minister acknowledged the significant role of Cost and Management Accountants for the establishment of financial discipline in the business and industrial sectors of the country and also urged upon the need for enforcing Cost Audit for all sectors. The Minister assured of all possible help and assistance for the development of the Institute, as well as the CMA profession.
Among the delegates Arif Khan FCMA Vice President, Mr. Muzaffar Ahmed FCMA Council Member, Mr. M. Abul Kalam Muzumdar FCMA Council Member, Mr.AKM Delwer Hussain FCMA Council Member, Mr.Sushen Chandra Das Additional Secretary Ministry of Industries and Council Member of ICMAB and Lt. Col. Md Humayun Kabir psc (Rtd.) Director of the Institute were present in the meeting.
