Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) organised a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programme on "The Finance Act-2015" recently at the head office of ICSB in the city, said a statement.
A large number of Members of ICSB participated in this programme. Sadhan Chandra Das, FCA, FCS, Partner, Sadhan Das & Co. Chartered Accountants presented the Keynote Paper. Mohammad Sanaullah FCS, Director and Company Secretary, Singer Bangladesh Limited and also Immediate Past President and Chairman, Professional Development Sub Committee of ICSB was the session chairman. Mohammad Asad Ullah FCS, graced the occasion as president of the Institute.
Mr. Dasin his presentation highlighted on the major features of the "The Finance Act-2015" that includes changes in Income Tax Ordinance, 1984 such as individual tax rate, re-structure in the slab of wealth for imposing surcharge on individual tax payers, basic salary and bonus received by Govt. employees as well as the insertion of two new sections: prosecution punishment for submitting fake audit report, punishment for unauthorized employment of foreign nationals.
