IFIC Bank achieves milestone of 1,000 sub-branches

IFIC Bank Chairman and Private Industry and Investment Adviser to Prime Minister Salman F Rahman and State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain, among other guests, at the inauguration of IFIC Bank's 1,000th sub-branch at Mujibnagar in Meherpur on Saturday.



IFIC Bank has achieved the milestone of 1,000 sub-branches, with an aim to build the country's largest banking network with state-of-the-art banking technology.
The bank made history as the first bank in Bangladesh to establish its 1,000th sub-branch by inaugurating a new sub-branch in Meherpur's Mujibnagar on Saturday, said a press statement.
Salman F Rahman, Chairman of IFIC Bank Limited and Private Industry and Investment Adviser to the Prime Minister, was present at the event as the chief guest, while State Minister for Public Administration was present as a special guest in the 1,000 sub-branch milestone celebration ceremony organised at Mujibnagar Liberation War Memorial Auditorium.
The bank's Managing Director (Acting) Syed Mansur Mustafa, Meherpur Deputy Comm-issioner Dr Mohammad Munsur Alam Khan, General Secretary of Meherpur district Awami League unit and Chairman of Gangni upazila M A Khalek, and Superint-endent of Police Md Rafiul Alam, among others, were present at the event.
Salman F Rahman said IFIC Bank achieved the milestone of 1,000 sub-branches by opening a sub-branch in Mujibnagar, the land where the provisional government of Bangladesh was formed.
This effort of the IFIC Bank will continue with the ultimate goal of ensuring inclusive banking, he added.
In his speech, State Minister Farhad Hossain praised the bank's efforts in ensuring inclusive banking.
