INFOFISH has signed contracts with three companies of Bangladesh in the form of technical advisory, fish processing and export promotion. The companies are Earth Agro Farms, S&K and Virgo.
These three companies are the first in Bangladesh preparing to export processed fillets of Tilapia, Pangasius and among the companies Earth Agro Farms will start its production unit by March, 2015.
INFOFISH was established in 1981 as a regional fishery project of the UN-FAO, with an aim to mitigate the needs of the Asia- Pacific fishery industries in 14 South Asian countries including Bangladesh, according to a press release.
